Purchasing fence materials to install yourself (DIY) can be a confusing process. Here, we provide examples and a worksheet to give you a better idea of how to calculate the proper amount of EcoFence Panels and Accessories, so you can install your own without making multiple trips to the hardware store.
Step 1
Once you have decided on the desired height of your EcoFence you can allot the the distance between posts. The distance between posts for an 8 feet tall fence is 6 feet and vice versa for a 6 feet being 8 feet.
Step 2
Measure off the entire area where you want the fence installed. Use the schematic from the download area to follow. Draw a basic outline laying out the path of your fence in the blank area below. Be sure to record each sections measurements, including gates. Remember, you can cut panels if you end up with a section that is too wide. For example, if you have one section that is 5’ wide, that section can be cut from the 8’ by sawing off 3’ and replacing the end cap onto the new formed panel. Additional end caps can purchased to utilize the 3’ section.
